Greenwich Council recently announced funding for twenty-two warm spaces across the borough that will provide essential support to our residents facing extreme fuel poverty and who are unable to heat their homes during winter.
Thanks to additional funding, RBG were able to allocate an extra £11,000 to these organisations, taking the total up to £61,000, allowing them to open these warm spaces from January 2023 to April 2023.
These warm hubs serve as warm and comforting places for residents to take a break; in some locations, specialised services for young families, the homeless, LGBTQ+ communities, the elderly and low-income households are provided alongside activities that tackle loneliness.
