From Monday 18th May it is Walk to School Week, when parents and children are encouraged to swap four wheels for two feet.
London housing association, L&Q have teamed up with local London schools to help support the week by providing high visibility jackets for their journey on foot and asked Greenwichmums to come along for the ride!
Walk to School Week is a nationwide initiative, promoting road safety and awareness as well as encouraging a healthier lifestyle amongst children. Launched by Living Streets, a UK charity, every year the campaign reaches over 13 million people, making it one of the UK’s leading behaviour change campaigns for young people.
L&Q are one of London’s leading housing providers and their effort and commitment to shaping healthier, happier neighbourhoods is going to be felt across the capital next week. Find out more about L&Q and their affordable Shared Ownership housing options in London here http://bit.ly/lqprcdingm
