This Autumn season, the Conservatoire embraces the intriguing theme of ‘Going Underground’. Dive deep into an expansive spectrum of the arts, encompassing music, theatre, drama, dance, and digital skills. With courses tailored for everyone – be it curious preschoolers, enthusiastic teenagers, entire families, or parents looking for some quality ‘me-time’ – there’s something for every age and interest.
Musical enthusiasts can enrol in a week-long musical theatre course led by none other than a West End Star. If that’s not tempting enough, immerse yourself in the melodies of a pop choir, an orchestra, a dynamic band, or even an upbeat jazz pop-up. But that’s just the beginning. The Conservatoire is also offering sessions in drama, dance, filmmaking, podcasting, beat-making, and a myriad of art courses. These have been curated, drawing inspiration from renowned artists, literary masterpieces, intriguing archaeological finds, and the mesmerising world surrounding us.

Make A Musical! (8-14 yrs) – Monday 23rd – Friday 27th October, 10.00 – 16.00 each day (£320)
Come join three West End actors for a 5-day musical theatre workshop learning songs and scenes from top West End & and Broadway shows. You will work together with expert tutors who have performed in hits like Les Misérables and Heathers.
Roundabout Half Term Taster (Music, 4.5-7 yrs) – Monday 23rd & Tuesday 24th October, 10.00 – 12.30 both days (£72)
Roundabout has been running at the Conservatoire for over 30 years! Since 1992 we have introduced children aged 5-7 to music through this exciting, informative and inclusive year-long course. Pop Choir (7-14 yrs) – Tuesday 24th / Friday 27th October, 12.30 – 14.30 (£24 per session)
In this fun and relaxed Pop Choir, you will learn contemporary songs from pop, soul, jazz, and R’n’B. During a 2 hour lesson, we will start with a vocal warm-up before learning a song – and the group can help choose it! This is the perfect setting for beginner singers to develop their confidence and voice.
What’s Under The Bed! (3-5 yrs) – Tuesday 24th October, 10.00 – 12.00 (£24)
What is under your bed? Perhaps your old toys, then the carpet, then dust, floorboards, pipes and wires, a tunnel, a cave, some buried treasure… what next! We’ll go on a deep-down underground journey, exploring layer by layer all the way to the magma at the centre of the earth. What layers will you create in your artwork? We’ll be using paint, ink, and other drawing materials.
Moving With The Earth (5-11 yrs) – Monday 23rd October, 10.00 – 16.00 (£64)
A dance & and movement workshop that combines choreography and movement inspired by the earth and ground we walk on. Become bugs, beetles and birds; find grounding through tai chi, contemporary dance, and your imagination; and learn to move as one with the earth. Join us for a fun-filled day of creativity through movement and dance in a supportive environment! All levels of experience are welcome.
Make a Short Film and Journey to the Centre of the Earth (8-12 yrs) – Monday 23rd October, 09.30 – 15.30 (£64)
Have you ever dreamt of making a thrilling expedition to the centre of the Earth? How about creating a short film of this epic journey featuring terrifying creatures and marvellous subterranean wonders? Now you can, with this unique filmmaking workshop that teaches you how to script, film, and edit your very own subterranean adventure!
Create Clay Tiles (18+) – Wednesday 25th October, 19.15 – 21.45 (£38)
We’ll use the London Underground as our inspiration in this clay workshop, where you will create your own set of clay tiles guided by our expert tutor. During this class, we will create a set of wonderful tiles of our own inspired by the tiles of the tube.
