As a parent of 3 children, each with different hobbies, interests and friends. I know first hand all the effort that goes into finding these activities.
So we’ve taken the hassle (or at least quite a bit) of your hands and put together this list below of the best activities and summer schools that Greenwich and our surrounds have to offer. We’ve got Drama, Dance, Football, Rugby, Tennis, Arts, Circus Skills.

Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School
23rd July – 3rd August
Superheros and circus extravaganzas take over the award-winning Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School during their forthcoming summer schools. Themes include Musical Circus Extravaganza, GleeVille and Superhero Musical Mashup. Participants aged 7 – 16 can choose to join one, two or all three weeks. And as an added treat there will be chaperoned trips to the West End’s Wicked, Aladdin and the Regent’s Park Theatre’s Little Shop of Horrors. Then in September, students aged 4 – 18 can join the Greenwich Saturday school and work towards a variety of performance taking place at the Stratford Circus Extravaganza. Tiptoes and Tappers
Various dates from 23rd July -14th August.
Tiptoes and Tappers is the best Dance School in Greenwich and this summer they are running 3 different summer schools. West End Summer School, Super Dance Days and Ballet Ball! Covering off classes in Ballet, Tap, Musical Theatre and Contemporary, Progressive Ballet Technique. Along with professional choreography PLUS a Workshop led by a West End professional. Girls and boys can also learn a ballet dance from Cinderella and enjoy dance-themed crafts including decorating a Ballet shoe!
Evolution Sports Multi Sports Summer Camp
30th July – 3rd August
James Wolfe Primary School (Royal Hill Campus)
At this 5-day summer camp, your child will get to take part in our multi-sports programme, focusing on a new sport each day. New to 2018 on Friday the 3rd of August, the last day of the camp, we will be having a fun day Friday, which includes a bouncy castle, face painting, games and more. Our coaches will deliver a variety of sports and games related practices such as ball manipulation, passing, running, throwing, catching along with team building exercises. Evolution Sports is open to both girls and boys, regardless of ability, with coaches providing a relaxed and fun environment while supporting and aiding the development of each participant. Blackheath Rugby
Sunday mornings on the 22nd July and 12th August
Rugby is a fun and inclusive sport for all the family and Blackheath Rugby Club has a buzzing youth section. And I should know two of my kids play for them! The season begins again in September but this summer they will be running some fun tag/touch rugby sessions (all non-contact) for 6-10-year-olds. These sessions are for both those who already play rugby to have some summer fun, and for newcomers to have a free taste of what it’s like. To book in contact Graham Colledge here. And for fun for all the family pop along to watch Blackheath FOR FREE on Saturday 18th August when they play Ealing in a pre-season warm-up game.
Twistfizz Tennis at Eltham Park South
23rd July to 17th August
Twistfizz Tennis Camps run when school is out and are jam-packed full of ace activity, aimed at getting children rallying and enjoying the game. Tennis camps are a fantastic way for kids to learn cool new skills and most of all have fun with friends in the park. A typical day includes warm-up games with lots of agility, balance and coordination, Skill acquisition & stroke development, Fun matches and Fair Play values! The team at Twistfizz are passionate about people and parks tennis.
Artiday Creative Hub
30th July to 9th August
How about getting creative in the summer holidays? Artiday is hosting two weeks of creative programs to get kids creating and learning about different art forms. They will be introduced to Collage and Printing, and work towards their Arts Award Discover Certificates! Children will take part in art activities and record what inspires them, experience the work of arts and organisations and artists.

Various dates
Lots of events and activities taking place over the summer across Thamesmead including street and hip-hop dance, family cycling, indoor climbing and football sessions. There will also be a range of creative workshops including jewellery making and street art as well as a youth enterprise course and family cookery workshops where families can enjoy lunch together afterwards.
