Greenwich & Lewisham Young People’s Theatre present: ROBIN HOOD
This Christmas The Tramshed is transformed into Sherwood Forest for an exciting, immersive performance of Robin Hood.
Featuring live music and original songs written by Brendan Murray, Directed by Jeremy James, Music by Oscar Wood – The Tramshed, Woolwich 1st to 21st December
After the sellout success of Treasure Island (2013) GLYPT presents an original version of Robin Hood. A new musical adaptation of the world’s most famous legend!
About Robin Hood
Join Robin Hood’s band of outlaws as they thwart the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham in this fun interactive production which will take you to a singing Sherwood Forest. Audiences will be right up close to the action, engaging with our cast of professional actors and chorus of merry men (and women!) from GLYPT youth theatres. Come on a journey into the past, full of singing, dancing and of course the mysterious Robin Hood.
This festive Christmas production features an original script from award-winning children’s theatre writer, Brendan Murray. Robin Hood is directed by GLYPT’s Artistic Director, Jeremy James, who with Oscar Wood, brought you Treasure Island and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
The show has a historic setting but contains modern themes and a new twist. Re-invented from the traditional tale, the story follows the adventures of mischievous Robin Hood who seems to be hiding something.
