The first rays sunshine have arrived in Greenwich along with a few new additions – we hear that Jamie Oliver is finally set to open his Italian this month and a few weeks back saw the new Plumtree Café, set back off Greenwich High Rd also open up. Find them by Sainsbury’s across from Royal Hill and get a great welcome from this new family friendly café that has great coffee, homemade cake with gallery space and a small children’s play area (tree house!).
April of course wouldn’t be April without the London Marathon and this if you want fun for all the family and you have young runners you may be interested in the Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice Mini Marathon on Sunday 28th April 2013 in Greenwich Park. An event designed purely for children between the ages of 7 and 16 years and is a 2.62mile mini marathon rather than the 26.2 miles we are normally used. Book in your very own Mo Farrah now.
If you find yourself always running around (what parent doesn’t) than maybe you need to take a few hours out and join in at the next Wine O’Clock. Now every second Tuesday of the month. For April will will be visiting the Royal Standard Pub in Blackheath and returning to Greenwich Tavern for our May meeting. check out our events section for the latest info
Lastly we have some great groups set up on Greenwichmums – You can chat, buy & sell, chat Buisness or seek out some ideas on being a domestic goddess…..
Till next time enjoy your April.
