Out of this World: Moon at the Royal Observatory Greenwich! Our Moon-themed morning includes a planetarium show, interactive quiz, and immersive virtual reality activity.

Join the Royal Observatory Astronomers for a series of activity packages for older children that include a planetarium show, two interactive workshops and a chance to talk to our astronomers.
Start your orientation in our state of the art digital planetarium to visit some popular destinations within our Solar System and beyond. Continue your mission with a brain-bending Moon quiz using voting keypads and featuring stunning images of our natural satellite. Finally, take a virtual step onto the Moon with our virtual reality activity to feel what it’s like to step onto the lunar surface. This will be combined with meteorite handling and a chance to ask astronomers about the possibility of humans returning to the Moon and building lunar bases.
Please note the gates to the Royal Observatory Greenwich’s Astronomy Centre only open at 10 am. On arrival please proceed to the planetarium.
