Make your own portrait puppet of Sir Joseph Bazalgette and celebrate this amazing engineer who built Crossness Pumping Station as part of the first sewage system across London. The activity is suitable for children aged 4 years + and children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Built by Sir Joseph Bazalgette for London’s sewage system and opened in 1865, Crossness Pumping Station is a Grade 1 Listed building and features some of the most spectacular ornamental Victorian cast ironwork found in the world today. Discover this beautiful example of Victorian architecture and engineering.
