Come along to Charlotte Turner Gardens in Deptford for a festival of music, meerkats and more, part of the Royal Greenwich PARKSfest programme.

There will be music from Ronnie Ripple and the RicChords (classic rock ‘n roll and rockabilly) and Heart of Steel (steel band). Also, storytelling by Bernadette Russell, mural painting, face painting, a bouncy castle and a range of craft and community stalls for all the family. Throughout the day there will be refreshments with burgers, cakes, Pimms O’ Clock, tea and coffee.
Come along and see the Meerkats Menagerie at The Safari Site at the festival from 2pm to 5.30pm, with Meerkat Interactions at 2pm, 3.20pm and 4.45pm. The family safari site will be overseen by a team of three eminent Zoologists, our “experts” on all things concerned with the very rare Urban Meerkat, and will gather audiences of all ages to share alternative facts regarding these fascinating creatures and build Meerkat dens together.
The Charlotte Turner Gardens is just one of the parks and public spaces of the Royal Borough of Greenwich that will become safari sites during summer 2017 giving audiences a front row seat to our zoological safari site.
