About this event:
Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice’s Mini Marathon will once again return to Royal Greenwich Park for the fourth year running.
Inspired by the 2012 London Olympics Games, the Mini Marathon brings together young people from Greenwich and Bexley who want to take on a sporting challenge by running, walking or jogging their own 2.62 mile Mini Marathon; a tenth of the distance of the Virgin London Marathon.
Since 2013 hundreds of local children have taken part in this sponsored sporting fundraiser and have raised well over £100,000 for their local Hospice.
The event is open to children aged between 5 and 16 years old and every child will receive a well-deserved Mini Marathon medal at the finish line.
On-the-day registration will open at 9.15am. There will be an energetic and fun-filled warm up at 9.45am, before runners set off at 10am. Parents/guardians of younger children are able to accompany them on the run if they wish to.
Registration is £7.50 per child and all runners will receive a special Mini Marathon medal at the finish line. The first 300 children signing up for the Mini Marathon will also receive a Frankie & Benny’s *Kids Eat Free voucher, which is valid for a whole year. (*Voucher is valid for under 11 year olds only.)
