About this event:
Do your children love reading?
Pupils at the Greenwich Steiner School do. Following the norm of most European countries, we only start formal literacy learning when children are 6 years old.
It’s a bit like learning to crawl before you can walk or learning to write before you learn to type. Taking into account each stage of child development, we teach children in an order and with methods that best suit their age.
Children first experience the spoken word through the repetition of stories, songs and poetry. This adds to their impressive vocabulary and is a key preparatory stage in learning to read and write.
Offering a modern, dynamic Steiner Waldorf education for children aged 3-14 years old, we provide an unhurried, creative and holistic learning environment. When it’s time to leave our school, our children are confident, sociable and able young people, well-equipped to move on successfully to mainstream or other Steiner schools.
To find out if our school is the right environment for your child, please visit our Open Morning this Saturday 23rd January from 10-12pm For more information please visit our website or email here to book.
Details are subject to change so please make sure you check with the venue before setting out. Thanks!
