About this event:
This Saturday local artists, organisations and residents will come together to create The Borough Hall Fun Palace, a free community event hosted by Greenwich Dance.
The Borough Hall Fun Palace is part of Fun Palaces 2015, a free, nationwide celebration of arts, culture and sciences taking place on Saturday 3 & Sunday 4 October.
Fun Palaces 2015 bring to life the vision of Joan Littlewood, one of the Twentieth Century’s most significant cultural innovators, and architect Cedric Price for spaces linking arts and sciences, entertainment and education, a campaign of culture at the heart of all of human life.
There’s lots to see and do on the day, from our Cardboard Challenge to science experiments, learning the semaphore code to arts and crafts activities or just sit back and enjoy a cup of tea and slice of cake.
We will be rounding off the day with a family Ceilidh from 4:00PM, with live music from the Creekside Ceilidh Band and a caller to guide you through the steps – so gather your family, friends and neighbours and don’t miss the party!
Greenwich Dance is also asking people to bring materials for its Cardboard Challenge, and build structures out of old boxes, bags and plastic bottles.
It’s all free, and it’s all for you!
Location: Greenwich Dance, The Borough Hall, Royal Hill, London SE10 8RE
Details are subject to change so please make sure you check with the venue before setting out. Thanks!
