About this event:
Join us at Firepower Museum for an experience you will never forget.
An evening packed with fun activities followed by sleeping in among the guns and exhibits of the Museum.
Kids and adults will spend the evening doing a range of activities including:
Military Drilling
Meet the WW2 Fire Warden (actor session)
Rocket Firing
World Wars Tour
Medal Making Crafts
Supper will be scheduled in among the activities.
During the evening we will also have the traditional military Sunset Ceremony to lower the flag and reflect on the day.
At the end of the evening we will have a Camp Fire Sing Along of WW2 favourites & hot chocolate to settle down and prepare for the evening.
Just like in the Blitz 75 years ago you will then bed down on the floor. Instead of in the underground stations it will be in the museums exhibition rooms. Bring your camping rolls / air beds and sleeping bags.
The next day we wake early at 7am, dressed and ready for some Physical Training from our instructors. Appetites suitably grown it will be time for breakfast. The event finishes at 9am.
Supper is hot dog in a bun, baked potato and beans with squash or tea / coffee.
Breakfast consists of Bacon or sausage bap with squash or tea / coffee. For vegetarians or those who can’t eat pork, meat free alternatives will be substituted.
