About this event:
Join Greenwich Parent Voice and Steve Broach, a highly regarded barrister specialising in the law on disabled children, who will be telling parents about the Children & Families Act 2014 and the Care Act 2014.
Sound complicated? Don’t worry; Steve has a knack of explaining the important parts of the law in a simple and straightforward manner, highlighting the areas we need to be aware of. He will talk about what the SEND reforms mean for our children and young people. He will also consider and explain how the Care Act will change carers’ rights.
Free legal advice
During the lunch break a solicitor from Irwin Mitchell will be holding a free surgery if you want specific advice.
We realise this is a long day. The Children & Families Act will be covered in the morning session and the Care Act after lunch.
Feel free to come for as long as you can.
Booking essential
To book your free place please email. We will be providing a complimentary lunch so please let us know any dietary requirements too.
