Old Royal Naval College

Hop on down to Old Royal Naval College this Easter for a host of fun activities for all the family. Pick up a special Easter trail booklet for £3 and explore the grounds to win a sweet treat at the end. Or take part in the Skittle Bunny Challenge in the Victorian Skittle Alley, included in Painted Hall tickets. Plus, there is Easter-themed storytelling on Sunday, 2 April, free kids’ crafts basket weaving on Sunday, 9 April, and even a special Afternoon Tea on Easter Sunday in Admiral’s House.  All details here

Museum of London Docklands – Free Easter fun for sailors 

Learn about the scoundrels and scallywags that once roamed London’s Docklands this Easter holiday. Wind your way through the dark streets of dockside Victorian London in the museum’s recreated Sailortown. Set sail on a cardboard pirate ship, learn to speak like a scoundrel and join the silliest swashbucklers this side of the sea!


City Cruises Easter Weekend Fun 7th -10th April

This Easter half term, make the most of London’s breathtaking riverside landmarks with a hop-on-hop-off river pass that lasts for 24 hours! For a great day out on the Thames for some egg-citing sightseeing fun! Take your pick of an open upper deck or comfortable indoor saloon where you can enjoy the entertaining and informative commentary and unrivalled views of London’s iconic sights. Greenwich Theatre Kids Festival 1st – 16th April

Greenwich Theatre children’s festival has been a much-loved highlight of the venue’s annual programme since the strand was launched in 2007 with just half a dozen shows. Since then, it has grown in size and popularity so that the latest edition, from 1-16 April, features three times as many performances and a selection of workshops to keep your youngsters engaged and fulfilled. Horniman Spring Fair – 8th April

Compered by comedian Jasmin Gleeson, who will be providing fun commentary throughout the Fair as well as hosting the Easter bonnet parade. Timings and locations for all activities will be signposted on the day. Booking is essential as there will be no tickets on the day. Expect a packed day of live music, workshops, a food market, games and face painting.


Woodlands Farm Eggcellent Easter Trail – 6th April

Woodlands Annual Easter Trail is back again this year! Find all the Easter pictures around the farm to claim your chocolate egg prize! No booking is required; drop in at any time for £2 per child – payable at the door of the Education Centre (cash or card taken). As a charity, Woodlands Farm is run as a conservation and education project, which provides an opportunity to learn about farming life and farm animals and a chance to experience the countryside within London.  You can see native bird species, butterflies, wildflowers and ancient woodlands.   


New Cross and Deptford Free Film Festival – 21st April

From Friday, 21st April, we’ll kick off a fabulous programme of TEN DAYS OF FREE FILMS for everyone across New Cross & Deptford! We’ve got blockbusters, comedies, documentaries and classics on our programme – and everything for free! Crystal Palace Park – Open all year

A personal favourite and the birthplace of ‘Dinomania’, famous worldwide to boot. They are also a hugely engaging mixture of being rather scary and a bit hilarious simultaneously, making them the key attraction of Crystal Palace Park. Everyone loves Dinosaurs. At this time of year, you’ll find the new buds of spring and the Dinos in full view from the banks of the tidal ponds. Get in quick, as heritage funding to advance the Park’s Regeneration Plan has just been announced. Free.


Spring Flowers – Open now

London is the world’s first National Park City. We have no shortage of open spaces in Greenwich, with the top spot going to Royal Greenwich Park. Here you’ll find Spring in full bloom with daffodils, tulips, and the world-famous blossom trees. If you want to go further afield, Danson Park is a great family destination, with a peaceful rock garden and the Grade I-listed Danson House. If not, head to your own local park. Eltham Palace and Garden Easter Quest. 1st April – 16th April

Cracking adventure quest at Eltham Palace and Gardens this Easter holiday. Explore the grounds and gardens to hunt for clues and challenges and discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race.
