Bexley Donkey Derby and. Summer Fayre is the most hilarious family day out on the calendar in the Borough of Bexley.
Come along Sunday 31st Aug and join the community for a great , safe and inexpensive time.
There’s plenty to see and do , with the main attraction being 7 races of 7 donkeys and 7 intrepid Jockeys from Timbertops Riding School from Sidcup.
We also offer more sedate Donkey rides for the little ones , a chance to have a flutter on the race results at our tote , children’s fairground , Landtrain , food and drink , beer tent , Face-painter , farmers market , balloons , sideshows , Artisan craft stalls , ice creams and charity stalls .
This years event is on Sunday 31st August at our regular venue in Danson Park polo fields ( next to Bexley Grammar school , Danson Lane ) and gates open at 12 noon with the first race at 2pm , started by the Mayor of Bexley.
Entry is £1 per adult , 50p per child and there is no on site parking except for disabled blue badge holders . There is plenty of public parking in the northern part of Danson Park adjacent to Danson House and The Stables. There are first aid and temporary toilet facilities on site .
