It’s Eating Disorders Awareness Week, and it’s time to get loud! Beat is fighting to bridge the gap between people with eating disorders and the medical care they need. With only 2 hours of training on eating disorders included in the average GP’s entire medical degree, far too many cases are being overlooked.
But Beat has developed clear and comprehensive courses for medical students that are being phased in more often – helping doctors make better referrals for affected individuals. So this week, let’s raise our voices together and support Beat’s campaign to #BeBrightandBold as we fight to make sure no one faces an eating disorder alone.
When is Eating Disorders Awareness Week?
EDAW 23 takes place from the 27th of February and will run until the 5th of March.
