The Vanbrugh set in East Greenwich just a short walk from the centre, is a great place to relax and meet friends. Food is freshly prepared and a good selection of wines and beers are available. Families are very welcome and there are many great areas in the pub where parents and children can relax together.
Great for coffee and long lunches with plenty of space for prams. Bit of a well kept secret!

We Say…
The Vanbrugh is neatly tucked away at the bottom of Colomb Street. Its in a blink and you’d miss it position which makes this Pub and Restaurant even more of a gem. If like us you trail a wide load (pram that is) staff are always on hand to open doors and shift furniture so that you can get in and get cozy. The restaurant has a great kids menu and the kitchen are happy to modify things to suit your little ones. The bar has a traditional feel with the addition of a heated extension to the rear, which makes the space rather special and very Children friendly. The Baby change is clean and the restaurant has high chairs on hand. We really like the Vanbrugh it makes for a refreshing change to find a place so very child friendly

The pub is really lovely, but I wouldn’t say it accepts the mumscard wholeheartedly: the discount is only valid for food from the kitchen – in other words, the card is useless for drinks or crisps. I was frustrated to find that out, as I visit this pub regularly and it was one of the reasons I made my mumscard.
