About this event:
Ladies/Mums, why not take on a challenge for 2017, do something different, Rowing on the River Thames
This event is suitable for: 16 years+
This event costs: Free to enter a team
The 50Km Challenge is a 50km row on the River Thames from the Meridian line to the QE2 Bridge and back! Passing through the Thames Barrier past the 02 Arena with the finish at The AHOY Centre in Greenwich.
The Challenge is run by The AHOY Centre Charity, a local charity on Deptford.
The money raised by each team provides vital funding to enable us to continue our work with disadvantaged young people and disabled people. Without this, we would not be able to continue our Charity’s work.
It is challenging but fun and you will certainly see London from a completely different viewpoint! Definitely on the list of ‘must do’.
It is also a great opportunity to work as a team and involve colleagues, friends or family. At the same time why not throw down the gauntlet and challenge others?
There’s more on our website here: http://www.ahoy.org.uk/row-for-us/ including an FAQ section, I have also attached a video clip which brings to life the difference that Ahoy has made to so many children, defiantly worth a watch.
Whether you are recruiting team members or have a team eager to start – take up the Challenge and start your ‘Oarsome’ adventure today. for more information please contact the team here!
Details are subject to change so please make sure you check with the venue before setting out. Thanks!
