About this event:
For Greenwich Dances at Moat Island we have two exciting outdoor family shows, taking a sideways look at dance:
Second Hand Dance: Grass
Look down. What are you standing on? Explore the ground and all of its wriggling inhabitants in this quirky show for young children – featuring worms, slugs, snails, and spontaneous outbreaks of ant dancing!
Darren Ellis Dance: Meeting Mr Boom
A show that will inflate before your eyes taking you on a journey of discovery – but who knows what we might find in this magical bouncy land?
Greenwich Dances at Moat Island is presented in association with Greenwich+Docklands International Festival as part of Moat Island – an outdoor arts adventure for intrepid under 12s.
Greenwich+Docklands International Festival (GDIF) is London’s leading festival of free outdoor performing arts (theatre, dance, and street arts), an annual 9/10-day celebration of extraordinary outdoor events that transform people’s lives.
GDIF has been growing every year and in 2015, the Festival featured over a hundred performances by dozens of national and international companies with more than 100,000 people attending the outdoor shows in East and South London.
Details are subject to change so please make sure you check with the venue before setting out. Thanks!
