This Christmas, the Unicorn Theatre is presenting spectacular family theatre for all ages.
Oscar Wilde’s The Canterville Ghost is a frighteningly funny and delightfully spooky retelling of the comic novel for everyone aged 7 and over. With spine-tingling magic and ghoulish effects, this show is a warming Winter treat about an ancient and terrifically tired ghost trying to spook the rational family that moves into his ancestral home. Playing 10 Nov – 5 Jan.
For younger audiences, The Wolf, The Duck and The Mouse is a new stage adaptation of the brilliantly subversive and much-loved picture book for ages 3 – 7. When Mouse is gobbled up by a wolf, the last thing he expects to find is Duck, who was, until Mouse arrived, taking a nap. Turns out it’s pretty nice living inside the belly of the beast with a new friend! But if they want to keep things rosy, they must hatch a plan to keep wolf safe… Playing 15 Nov – 5 Jan.
Make your trip extra special by booking a post-show workshop after selected performances of each show. There are also plenty of family-friendly things to do in the local area to help you make a day of it. Don’t forget to visit the Unicornershop in the theatre foyer for Christmas stocking fillers and tasty treats.
Bring your loved ones together for another Christmas of exceptional theatre at the Unicorn. Show tickets start from £12 and you can save 15% by booking two or more different shows in the 2019/20 season at one time. All details of how to book can be found at unicorntheatre.com.
