Saturday Strength and Stretch, Soul Sundays

Curious about yoga but not sure it’s for you? Think you can’t do yoga because you’re not bendy? Think again – your strength and cardio regime give you advantages on the mat.
Our Saturday session is sequenced to provide strengthening moves and stretches to complement your other fitness goals. Led by Lara – four-time marathon runner – we know what works. We begin with asana to build strength, active stretches and finish with longer held restorative poses to target the muscle fascia. Running the London Marathon for charity? Start your Sundays off the right way on the Jetty every week at 10.30. We’ll practice an hour of Vinyasa Flow – that’s linking breath to movement – rooted in Ashtanga yoga, and we move through a set sequence of postures. You’ll build strength and flexibility while having time to get to grips with each posture. No ‘yoga’ music here, its a soundtrack of chilled beats with everything from Massive Attack to Blur and a Tribe Called Quest to The Beatles.
