THE CAT IN THE HAT

catinthehatWednesday 19th-Sun 23rd February 2014

From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that the cat in the hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and craziest of ideas, he turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure.

But what will mum find when she gets home?

Based on the much-loved book by Dr Seuss, The Cat In The Hat is a lively and engaging first theatre experience for young children.

Spellbinding

Ive always been a bit obsessed with cats. Dressing up our black and white cat as a child, seeing the musical Cats 4 times, having a pet cat... So I jumped at the chance to take the children to see The Cat in the Hat at Greenwich Theatre this week.

The show is a extremely creative and engaging for children of all ages with an enthusiastic cast that really bring the story to life - lots of audience participation keeps you on your toes as you feel as if you have entered onto the pages of this childrens classic.

The vibrant set makes it easy to watch the naughty cat getting up to his tricks as the poor fish tries to keep a lid on things, including Thing 1 and Thing 2! It's not that long - so even the most energetic toddler will be spellbound!

Extra showings have been added this weekend and we may try and sneak back for a second showing!

So - If you only see on piece of family theatre this year then make it The Cat in Hat!

You will not be disappointed.
