The Old Brewery is brought to you by our very own local brewer the Meantime Brewing Company. This restaurant, come cafe, come bar and micro brewery is set within the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College, adjacent to the Discover Greenwich Tourist Info Centre.

The main area is a quasi cafe-restaurant (dependant on the time of the day) which offers a wide range of freshly made sandwiches, bistro style dishes, cakes & pastries, in addition to – coincidentally – Meantime’s entire selection of beers. In the evening modern British food is served and there is also a bar offering over 60 kinds of beer and an all day menu.

But their spring festival sees 40 breweries from all over the world gather at The Old Royal Naval College for three days of beer tasting, food pairing and live music. We Say…

The Old Brewery is a safe option, as long as the automatic entry door works which has frozen on us on a couple of occasions. There is also alot of heated exterior space if the weather is good. The food is fairly typical but the beer, my husband tells me, is very good. So might be best tried kiddie free for full benefit.
