Merry Christmas! OK, OK its a bit early but with so much going on this festive season we need to start now and we hope this Out & About wets your whistle!
Last month saw the return of the Wine O’Clock Club and what a great night was had by all. Our thanks to The Greenwich Tavern for providing such a great location & yummy cocktails! This month WoC Club returns on the 13th with a joint Christmas jolly with those Running Mummies.
For the uninitiated, Running Mummies offer exercise classes where you can walk, jog or run with your buggy or bump AND tone up along the way. Now in its 6th year they are said to be the best (and only) pre and post natal class that have two instructors to help you and your little ones.
So, why not join us both and really kick off the Party season in style. It starts at 8pm and Santa hats are optional. Wine O’Clock Club is open to all Greenwich mums and Running Mummies past and present! Club will in future ‘run’ once a month in Greenwich with 2013 dates to be announced soon.
No reason for the little people in your life to miss out on the party season either as we hear that the Diddi Dance Christmas Party at Mycenae House still has tickets, 11am-1pm, on Sat 15th Dec. £12 per child or £20 for 2 siblings. Dancing fun, food and a visit from you-know-who with presents. (From Ottie and the Bea no less!) Book now with Anne-Marie on info@diddidance.com
If you still looking to get you in the festive spirit why not check out Aladdin: A Wish Come True at The Theatre at The O2. On from 07 December 2012 – 05 January 2013 with performances daily. Lily Savage, who will be performing by kind permission of Mr Paul O’Grady, had this to say: “Lily had such a great time playing Widow Twankey last time in Southampton that I am delighted she gets to have another go and that this will be in her very own, brand new purpose built theatre at The O2 – which will be filled with the magic of Old Peking!!”
We have also recently discovered the Conservatoire in Blackheath villiage. With their long tradition of early years music teaching, The Conservatoire offers a curriculum that enables children to gain the best possible start in their musical life.
Fun and structured activities encourage children to explore musical concepts and ideas while equipping parents with the tools and confidence for music-making at home.
They offer around twenty classes each week for different ages. To book a trial session please call on 020 8852 0234 or visit www.conservatoire.org.uk
If like me, you’ve left the Christmas shopping a little bit late I’d encourage you to look towards Greenwich Market and the surrounding area for your salvation. On my very own letter to Santa (read Greenwichdad) I couldn’t resist adding the following….
Not quite Elf Kisses – but Strawberry Bon Bons from Mr Humbug
Red Spot Bag – Sophia and Matt
Rose massage candle – bubb and Dimples
Pashmina – Belle
Champagne high tea – Black Vanilla SE10
Edwards secret blend of Chai Tea Latte – Reddoor
To make it even easier for him all accept MumsCard! 😉 And finally, if you are still looking for a Christmas Door wreath then in our mind you cannot go too far wrong by going local and Shooters Hill based Blossom & Bloom Florist Jane Murch’s flowers and wreaths make a great addition to any front door!
